means......
$6 \times {side}^{2} = 486$
${side}^{2} = 81$
$side = 9$
$volume = side \: cube$
$vol = 729$

We know that surface area of a cube = 6a^2.

Given that surface area of cube = 486m^2.

6a^2 = 486

a^2 = 486/6

a^2 = 81

a = 9cm.

Therefore the length of each edge = 9cm.

We know that volume of cube = 9 * 9 * 9

                                                   = 729cm^3.
