ΔBDO ~ ΔBEA    ---- (i)

BD = √BO² - DO²

     = √13² - 8²

     = √169 - 64

     = √105 cm.


DE = BD = √105 cm

∠AED = ∠ODB = 90° {From (i)}

In ΔDAE,

AD = √AE² + DE²

     = √16² + 105

     = √256 + 105

     = √361

     = 19 cm.


Therefore, Length of AD is 19 cm.
