Yes, I not only heard but also experienced of such
a rumour that harmed people. we had been to a theatre to watch a movie.It was the first show of the movie. In the middle of the show a person shouted 'Fire!Fire!'. People in the theatre left their seats in fright and ran helter-skelter to the exits for the safety. Many fell and were trampled underfoot in the rush. It was an awful scene. Truth came to light that the miscreant was an agent of a producer who wanted the movie to fail.

Yes, I have heard a rumour that harmed the people of my town. It was a very big rumour. Someone said that there was a sale in the nearby village and everything there was for tha half price that of in our town. Everyone was shocked. We all people were getting ready to visit the sale and loot it fully! But as soon as we reached the we village, we got another shock. Their was neither sale nor market. It was only rumour.
Finally, we all decided not to believe such rumours as well as not to be a part of spreading them.
