Number of males to increased by 5% and females by 3%.The population would grow to 52,020.

105% of x + 103% of y = 52020

=> (105/100) * x + (103/100) * y = 52020

=> 105x + 103y = 5202000    ----- (2)

On solving (1) * 103 & (ii), we get

103x + 103y = 5150000

105x + 103y = 5202000

     x = 26000

Place x = 26000 in (2), we get

105x + 103y = 5202000

=> 105(26000) + 103y = 5202000

=> 2730000 + 103y = 5202000

=> y = 24000

Therefore,
