Education was highly important to the Nazis and to Adolf Hitler. The educational system had curriculum such that the students would turn out into loyal followers of Hitler. The teachers were trained by the Nazi officers. The Jewish teachers and the teachers who did not obey their orders were sacked immediately.

The 2 important subjects were Biology and History. History was taught to flaunt the glory of the Nazis and Germany. They blamed the Marxist groups and the Jews for the loss in previous fights.

Biology taught the importance of race and racial superiority was explained in detail as wanted by Hitler. Racial purity, its importance and its adverse effects when there is an inter-racial marriage were explained.

Girls had extra classes on Eugenics and domestic science, which prepared them to grow into a fine housewife and mother.

Indoctrination was also important as the teachers had to malign the Jews at every opportunity.

In schools, students were taught to worship Adolf Hitler. All textbooks reflected the Nazi ideology.

Children were encouraged to wear Hitler Youth and German Girls' League uniforms to school. School noticeboards were covered with Nazi propaganda posters.

Education in "racial awareness" was given in schools and children were constantly reminded of their racial duties to the "national community".

Biology and political education were compulsory. Children were taught about "worthy" and "unworthy" races.

The ultimate purpose of education was to fashion citizens conscious of the glory of the country and filled with fanatical devotion to the national cause. Courage in battle, sacrifice for a greater cause, boundless admiration for the Leader and hatred of Germany's enemies, the Jews were the central themes of teaching history.
