Importance of Zygote

  • A zygote is the union of the sperm cell and the egg cell.
  • Also known as a fertilized ovum, the zygote begins as a single cell but divides rapidly in the days following fertilization.
  • After this two-week period of cell division, the zygote eventually becomes an embryo.

A zygote is the cell when two gamete fuse during the fertilisation. The dna matarial from the two cells is combined in the resulting zygote..... In the single cells organisms the zygote become a fully functioning organisms and can divide through mitosis to produce offspring........
