To take a screen shot on a Windows laptop, just follow these steps. If you want to take an shot of everything that is displayed on your screen and you want to save it to send it or 3 it, simply: 1. Press the Windows Key and the PrtScn (Print Screen) button.

Steps to take screenshot in Windows 7 ultimate:

(1) Using the Keyboard:

• On your keyboard, press the PrtSc SysRq (or) fn + PrtSc sysRq (or) Ctrl + PrtSc SysRq key to copy the current screen. The complete screen will be copied to clip board.

•   To insert the image into a document i.e in Microsoft Paint or any Microsoft word document or a blank document, press and hold down the Ctrl + V keys. Then your screen which is captured will be pasted into your document.

(2) Snipping tool:

• There is a tool called as snipping tool.

• Select the start button, then type snipping tool in the search box, and then Select snipping tool from the list of results.

• The snipping tool opens, a white mask is applied on the screen.

• In the drop down menu for the new button, You can see 4 options( Free-form snip, Rectangular snip, Window snip, or Full-screen snip).

• Free-form Snip - Drag around an area which you want to be captured.

• Rectangular Snip - Drag around your screen to capture a rectangular area.

•  Window Snip - Select the window you want to capture.

• Full Screen Snip - Makes a capture of the entire screen.

Now,

• After capturing the Snip, Click on File - > Save As button. Type your desired file name and Select  Save.
