The answer to this question should be two moles because only the extreme terminal bonds between CH3 and oxygen can be broken. H I cannot cleave the bond between benzene and oxygen due to resonance of the oxygen lone pair in the benzene rings. The bond between oxygen and the carbon of benzene has aquired partial double bond character due to resonance which is difficult to cleave. Hence, the answer should be two.
