Heya.......^_^
Here's ur ans. ⬇
↪ Perimeter of square = 4a
Perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b )
Given ,
Perimeter of square = 40m
Length = l
Breadth = l / 3
According to question
Perimeter of rectangle = 2/5 ( perimeter of square) - 2.4
2( l +b ). = 2/5 ( 40) - 2.4
2 ( l + l/3) = 16 - 2.4
8 l /3 = 13.6
8 l = 13.6 × 3
l = 1.7 ×3
↪ l = 5.1 m
Therefore ,
↪ b = 5.1/3 = 1.7 m
