a. Society's perception about an ideal women is based on  Gender prejudices which is a socially constructed term and that sought to create artificial division in the society between men and women. It gets reflected in the sexual division of work and in the society’s mind set.
b. . Gender prejudice is the result of such a mind set in which a society develops preconceived idea about women that is not based on knowledge, reason or thought. 
c. Indian society has always fixed women in a particular realm regarding private sphere for them.
d.This attitude has developed over a period of time due to the general mind set of the parents and society. Girls are told to be caring, be helping hand to their mothers, look after the house whereas this kind of work is generally not accepted from boys who are expected to go out and work.
e. The household work remains unaccounted for and is devalued by the society.There is a very  low value attached to women’s household work. It is the result of prejudiced attitude and stereotypical view which needs to be broken. 
f. Men are to hold and dominate public realm; a domain where they are engaged in activities which generate value or income.
g. Such a  traditional notion of private public divide continue to define modern society, 
h. However, presently, women have broken stereotypical views and  change her own perception about herself .
Women are doing all kinds of work and are at par with men.
i. Women of today is a law maker, an administrator, an economist, a reformer, she is dominating the public realm and is making her unhindered contribution to the progress of the Nation.
 j.She is part of the nation building progress and is a catalyst of change. She has made it to the top echelons in the Political sphere, she has emerged as a policy maker, a decision maker.
