Narrow spectrum antibiotics are the antibiotics effective mainly against small range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Eg.-Penicillin G,whereas Broad spectrum antibiotics are those which kill or inhibit a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria eg.-ampicillin and amoxycillin.
