Poles are the known as the two ends of the magnet. Yes, there are different from the other region of the magnet, we can know this, by performing an experiment. We generally have two poles, the north and the south Pole.

It will be labeled on the magnet saying which pole the specific one is, get two like poles together, either the north and the north or the south and the south , we see, they both repel. So, Like poles repel.

Get unlike poles together, like the north and the south , we observe they stick . Unlike poles attract.

Take the other region of the magnet other than the pole, we see, the other region , attracts the both poles!.

This is the difference!.
