neither magnetic pole is located at the geographic poles, which are points on the surface marking the location of the planet's rotational axis (90 degrees north and south latitude).

A compass points north because allmagnets have two poles , a north poleand a south pole, and the north pole of one magnet is attracted to the south pole of another magnet. (You may have seen this demonstrated by a pair of simple bar magnets or refrigeratormagnets pushed end to end.)

i hope it helps uh ✌️✌️
