Evolution : Most organisms we see now had a simple body design in the early generations. these organisms have gone through changes to better fit the present environment.
Classification : All organisms are identified and categorized on the basis of their body design in form and function. Characteristic of organisms that existed earlier were more basic than characteristics that exists now. This shows that life forms are closely related to their evolution.
The organisms that have not changed their body designs are classified as "primitive" or "lower" organisms and those that have changed recently are classified as "advanced" or "higher" organisms.
They are further classified into
Kingdom
Phylum (for animals) / Division (for plants)
Class
Order
Family
Genus
Species
