atoms are stick together by electrostatic force of attraction inside metal because we know that different charges attract each other and sim charges repel each other therefore in an atom electron and Proton present in atom and these are different charges so they attract each other and electrostatics force are the force in which different charges like positive and negative attract each other so like this in an atom happen same thing.

The electrostatic force holds electrons and protons together in atoms and allows the atoms of different elements to bond together to form new substances. It is also responsible for the solidity of solid objects. The electrostatic force is summed up in the law of charges: opposite charges attract and like charges repel, just like the opposite ends of a magnet.
