If the oviduct of a woman is blocked. Then the sperms or the semen is taken from the male in a test tube. And the ovum of the female is taken and the sperm and the egg are put together in a test tube and allowed for fertilisation under favourable temperature and conditions. Once the fertilisation occurs then the zygote formed is allowed to get injected inside the uterus. Then the zygote is allowed to develop in the mother's uterus and become a foetus in usually a period of 8-9 months. Thus a child is born even if the oviduct or the fallopian tube is blocked. Thus a woman can become pregnant. These type of babies born are known as test tube babies. However the term given is misleading . Babies cannot develop in test tubes.
