Loudness is the measure of response of a sound to the ear. It depends on amplitude. It is measured in terms of decibels . Higher the amplitude higher the loudness.

Pitch is the quality of sound which is decided or governed by rate of frequencies or vibrations. Pitch completely depends on frequency.It is measured in hertz. Higher the frequency higher the pitch

Hi friend,

LOUDNESS-: The loudness of a sound is determined by the amplitude of vibration. It is directly proportional to the amplitude of pitch. The louder the sound the more sound energy is used.

PITCH-: It is the characteristic of sound which distinguishes between a shrilled sound and soft sound. Higher the frequency of the vibration the higher the pitch. The pitch of sound depends on-:
=>The frequency(the higher the frequency the higher the pitch).
=>The length and thickness of vibrating strip.
=>Shrillness

DIFFERENCE-:

Loudness depends on the amplitude of vibrating body. Pitch depends on the frequency of vibrating body.

Loudness does not change with the change in frequency. Pitch changes with the change in frequency. Lower frequency will produce bass sound, higher frequency will produce shrill sound.

Loudness is determined by the amount of sound energy received by ear in unit time. Pitch does not depend on the amount of energy received by the ear.

Loudness is measured in decibels(dB). Pitch is measured in hertz(Hz).
