We can increase the strength of the basic solution by adding more concentration of OH^- ions or by adding more basic solution to it.

Explanation:

  • The compound is said to be a base if and only if the compound has the OH^- ions in it.
  • The basic strength of a compound depends on the concentration of the OH^- ions.
  • If it contains more concentration of OH^- ions the more will be its basic strength. If it contains less concentration of  OH^- ions the less will be its basic strength.
  • To increase the basic strength of a base compound, we must increase the concentration of the  OH^- ions.
  • This can be implemented by adding the water to the given base compound which will react with this water and forms more number of  OH^-  ions thereby increasing the basic strength of that compound.
