Answer:

Strings - The shorter the string, the higher the pitch, so moving your finger up the neck of the guitar essentially shortens the vibrating length of the string. Pianos are strung with strings of different sizes. Strings also make it clear that changing tension (tightness of the strings) also adjusts pitch, so the pitch can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the strings.

Wind instruments - These are basically empty tubes that resonate the vibrations produced in the mouthpiece. Clarinets and flutes are straight tubes, saxophones and the like are straight tubes with a curve at each end. These instruments vary pitch by putting a bunch of holes along the sides of the tubes. When all the holes are covered up, the whole length of the tube is resonating. As some holes are uncovered, the tube essentially becomes shorter. Brass instruments (trumpets, trombones, tubas…) are tubes that are so long they have to be wrapped around in loops to be manageable. If you look at a trumpet, you might notice that there is the main shape of the trumpet (this is the main tube) and also a bunch of smaller “tangled” tubes. These tangled tubes are a series of alternate paths the air can take; some are longer some are shorter. By opening one of the trumpet’s 3 valves, you are choosing an alternate route for you air, again essentially making the tube longer. With a trombone I think it’s pretty clear how the musician makes it’s pathway longer or shorter. With all wind instruments, the vibration of the mouthpiece also has an effect of the pitch.

Answer:

we can change the pitch of a different musical instrument buy in the wind instrument if closing hole is there there is an increase in air column and low pitch if opening hole is there air column decreases and higher the pitch and in a string instrument in and tight string is there so the which is higher and thick and less tight string is there the pitch is lower and in for percussion or membrane in instrument small and tight string in is there in tabla etc.so the pitch can increased
