We can can create artificial rain by the help of Dry Ice or Carbon dioxide or silver iodide.

Silver iodide or CO2 is ignited and sprayed in the clouds gathering over a place to increase the rate of precipitation this is because they both have characteristics to let the condensed water molecules present in the clouds lose their kinetic energy more fastly enough to precipitate in the form of rain on earth.

Hence, artificial rain is made with the help of these suggested chemicals a sprayed by helicopter or any other source.

zander07: okay the answer is kinda correct...but the main reason of the precipitation is because of the neutralization of charge on clouds and the charge on the substance sprayed, causing coagulation and falls down on earth due to gravity
