how can we draw perpendicular bisector

1) draw a line segment of any length
2) open your compass and place it to the any one end point of line segment and compass should be opened more than half of line segment
3)now make an arc to the upper as well as lower side of line segment
4) repeat the procedure and make arc from other end point too
5) remember not to change length of compass
6) join the points where arc cut each other
hence perpendicular bisector is drawn

I) draw a line segment of any length, 6 cm
II) name it , AB (your choice)
III) keep one end if the compass on A and then take more than half and draw an arc above as well as below the lune segment.
IV) now keep the compass on B and draw arc by cutting both the arc.
V) join both the points of intersection

The new line is the perpendicular bisector
