As 70 % of the earth is made up of water but most of the water present of the earth is in oceans which cannot be used by humans for their daily needs. As, only 0.5% of the total water is fresh which is present in water restorers such as ponds rivers and glaciers......

So, as we know that rain water is the most purest form of water we can apply rainwater harvesting to save water......

Hola!

Fresh water is a critical resource since 97% of the water found on the surface of the earth are salt water and are not suitable for drinking. Only 3% is fresh water found in rivers, ponds, lakes and as underground water in springs and geysers. Therefore to fulfil the increasing demand of fresh water we must first not pollute water. People often wash their clothes and utensils in the pond water and make them dirty. Also they bathe their animals in that same water. In the cities the smoke and the industrial effluents that come from the industries pollute water. People often tend to dump their garbage in the water. If we carry on such activities further a time may soon come when earth will be deprived of clear fresh water. Another way of conserving fresh water is by rainwater harvesting.
