Answer:

Instead of cutting, you can rub the surface of material with sand paper to see if it has luster. Materials that have such luster are usually metals. Iron, copper, aluminium and gold are examples of metals. Some metals often lose their shine and appear dull, because of the action of air and moisture on them.

I hope help at all

Hey nbarleja888!

Answer:

Those materials which have shiny appearance are said to have lustre.

For example: Metals like, old, silver, copper, aluminium, iron are the materials having shiny appearance.

Some materials like iron, copper, aluminium lose their shine and appear dull due to the action of air and moisture on their surface.

We should look for lustre only on the freshly cut surfaces of such metals or after rubbing their surfaces with a sand paper.

Hope it helps if so plz mark me as brainliest :)
