To detect whether a substance is acid or base.
LITMUS TEST:
To the liquid put a small litmus paper:
1.If the litmus paper tuns RED it is an acid
2.If the litmus paper tuns BLUE it is an base.
Ph Meter:
Is a small apparatus usually available in your chemistry labs,Which accurately measures the Ph of the solution.

Ph > 7 : It is a base
Ph<7 : It is an acid
