Biosphere reserves are conservation sites not only for safeguarding our wildlife but also the entire ecosystem which falls under it.A biosphere reserve may include several national parks and wild life sanctuaries with it.

Biosphere reserves are of utmost important to preserve our nature in its pristine form. These sites are used for studying about sustainable ways of interacting with nature and helps in protecting the culture prevailing over there.

A Biosphere reserve is divided into three parts

Core area - where no human activity is allowed

buffer area -this is the area surrounding the core area and limited activity is allowed here ( like research )

transition area - this is the place where economic and social activities happen .
