We know that photosynthesis is the process of converting CO₂ into O₂ using chlorophyll present in the green parts of the plants. So, O₂ is evolved from plants. We can do a simple experiment to show that plants evolve O₂.
Let us take a closed container and put a plant inside it. After some days, the plant will die, since there is no CO₂ present inside the container and all the CO₂ is converted to O₂. Now, if you place a candle and plant, the plant will not die at all. That proves that O₂ is evolved during photosynthesis.
I have given a simple answer, taking the evolution of O₂ as an example. There are other gases which are evolved during photosynthesis. you can study C₃ cycle or C₄ cycle for more depth of knowledge.
