the big dams are creating number of controversies because if a state stops releasing water from there dams there could be huge scarcity of water in an other state e.g. if Karnataka stops releasing water from its dams Tamil Nadu will run in water scarcity and will face drought hence Tamil Nadu is dependent on Karnataka for its water
