France became a constitutional monarchy after the national assembly completed the draft of the Constitution in 1792

the national assembly completed the draft constitution was made in 1791 .It's main object was to limit the powers of monarch. These powers which was concentrated in one hand of people were now separated into different institutions - the legislative , the executive ,the judiciary .This made France a constitutional monarch.
