1.when gulliver was going to a voyage then he and his companions were captured in a big storm...so their ship sinks.all the companions of gulliver were perished(died) , but gulliver swam to the shore and reached to lilliput.

2.gulliver lives in a temple as his size was big so he could not live in someone's home.
