Helen with her teacher and family to fern quarry which was 14 mile from tuscumbia .there was a limestone quarry so the place get name as fern quarry. there were 3 stream ,waterfall ,ferns and beautiful flowers everywhere and tree of oaks and pines which were full of butterflies and buzzing insects. Helen's cottage was a sort of rough camp which was situated at top of mountain . the small room were arranged on each side of long open hall. round the house wide piazza where Helen and teacher use spend most of time and she enjoyed the wind shaking the branches and falling sound of leave . she loved to get lost with her sister and teacher in Forest and smell the odour coming from the earth . many visitors use to ferry quarry and in use to tell stories special Hunter who hunt animals share the experience to Helen . she use to roam with small horse namely black beaty. the experience when Mildred, teacher and Helen was really lost in Forest and some how they came back to cottage.
