How did jainulabdeen explain the relevance of prayer when kalam grew up?

When apj got maturity ,he asked his father about the relevance prayer. Then jainulabdeen kept his hand on the shoulder of apj and looked straight ,said there was nothing mysterious in the prayer but prayer had a power which can lift us from the sufferings,melancholy and problems.
