Johannes Kepler was a famous mathematician, astronomer and scientist of Germany in early 17th century.

He was famous for his legendary astronomy theory which is known as the Kepler's Law.This theory changed the base of the astronomy science at that period.

By the Kepler's Law, we came to know that all the planets in the solar system are rotating in an elliptical orbit around the Sun.

So the statement number two;

"They established the laws of planetary motion."

is the correct statement.
