how did the industrial revolution in England affect India

1. The industrial revolution enabled england to produce more goods than needed there so, the indian market was flooded with machines made up of england
2. Industrial revolution in England threw the Indian artisans and handicrafts men out of job.As a result Indian small scale industries became useless.
3. The unemployed artisans became the farm laborers and over burdened the indian agriculture
4. The indian goods could not compete with the British goods as the British govt. in India imposed heavy duties on Indian goods and discouraged the indian craftsmen in many other ways so that they could never think of comepeting with british goods.
5. The British govt. forced the Indian farmers to sell their raw materials at cheap rates to the British factory owners.
