Explanation:

There was a scribe who lived with his wife and children in Agra.

The scribe never borrowed any money from anyone because he did not want to fall into the hands of moneylenders.

One night he has a dream that he borrowed a hundred gold coins from a moneylender which scared him and he woke up with a start.

The wife told this story to her friends who laughed and shared it with their own husbands.

This story reached the moneylenders' ears who went to the scribes house upon hearing this story.

Upon entering the scribe's house he announced that he had come to take his money which the scribe owed him.

The scribe too was startled at this claim even and so was his wife who claimed that money was borrowed merely in a dream but the moneylender refused any stories.

They went to Raja Birbal who then helped them by calling the moneylender to his palace.

Raja Birbal placed a hundred gold coins on a table and kept a mirror behind it.

He told the moneylender that all the coins in the mirror could be taken as a repayment of the loan the scribe had taken in the dream but the real coins were his.
