Answer:

If this is from the 'black aeroplane',

The Black Aeroplane guides the narrator to safety.

(If you want to know, either the black aeroplane was an angel in disguise, or the narrator was so frightened that he started to hallucinate up shapes and was simply lucky to have ever come out. Atleast, I think so. Strange chapter.)

ANSWER:-

  • The pilot was flying the Old Dakota to go to his homeland ie England , from Paris, France.
  • Suddenly, huge black clouds appeared in the sky, leading to a storm.
  • The pilot lost the connection and all the devices of the plane were getting damaged, one by one.
  • The compass turned round and round, and the fuel was also going to finish within the time interval. All systems were suddenly dead.
  • Even Radio was not working.

  • Then, the pilot saw another pilot in the Black Aeroplane, in that storm, showing him the direction to land safely. So, the pilot followed that Black Aeroplane, and as such, he did land safely.
  • He did panic when his fuel was at edge of the brink but the mysterious pilot showed him the way to the Airport.

  • It was a miracle after, that when the pilot went to thank the pilot in the Black Aeroplane, showing him the direction to land safely, he was not there.
  • Infact, when he did asked the woman in the control room, about that Black Aeroplane flying in the storm, she was shocked as she could see no other plane flying in that storm other than his in the radar.
  • The irony of the situation was - he was not able to find that who that person was and how did he help him out.
