People of palampur enhance their productions in many ways:-

Firstly the two main activities practised in palampur are:-
1. Farm activities
2. Non farm activities

1. Farm activities- They enhanced their farm activities by using their resources properly like using land, water, capital, and other sources of farm production like HYV seeds, proper irrigation facilities, fertilizers, manures and farm machineries in a proper way for a large production. For increasing crop production they also used the method of multiple cropping. They use the same land for larger production. Due to the green revolution their crop yields has also increased a lot.

2. Non-Farm activities- Non farm activities like dairy, small scale manufacturing, Shop keeping and transport are also some activities practised in palampur other than agriculture. People feed their buffaloes on various kinds of grass. The milk is sold to different villages like Raiganj and Shahpur. Unlike the manufacturing in big factories in the cities and towns Palampur involves a very simple production method. They are carried mostly at home or in the fields with the help of family labour. People involved in trade are not many in palampur. People buy goods from wholesale market in the city and sell them in the villages. Transport is also seen on the roads of palampur. They ferry goods or people from one place to another and in return are paid for it.
