The school contributed to the education of Helen and helped her overcome the disability that she had.
She would have a translator and a guide always with her so that the studying that she did was not hindered by her short comings and hence it was a very nice thing that the school did to help her.

Keller started attending Perkins Institute for the Blind in May 1888.
Keller and Sullivan moved to New York are especially useful to attend the Wright-Humason School for the Deaf for easily learning about Sarah Fuller at Horace Mann School for the Deaf.
They returned to Massachusetts as well as Keller entered The Cambridge School for Young Ladies to gain the admittance.
