Answer : The two Afro-Americans John Carlos and Tommie Smith potrayed a pessimistic dipiction regarding the terrible racial discrimination in the 1960's America. Their intensions were to acquire a global recognition displaying an utterly dismayed experience and the suffering they had encountered hitherto. They stood with erect upright gesture, heads bowed down, tightly clenched fist, back socks with no shoes displaying black poverty, black gloves resembling the unity among the black community. With this upleasant attitude they disseminated a ferocious fire and let this burn incessantly amongst them which ultimately lead to the famous American Civil Rights Movement.
