When tendrils come in contact with any support the part of tendril in contact with the does not grow as rapidly as the part of tendril away from the object. This is caused by the action of auxin harmone. Less auxin is generated on the side of contact as compared to the free side. As the result auxin promoted growth on the free side and the tendril coil around the support
