Yes, cattle play a significant role in destroying a forest which has an adverse effect on ecosystem. It is a well established fact.

Over-grazing and massive movement of cattle destroy huge lands of forests. Massive movements of cattle do not allow the regeneration of plants. Their movement leaves the land infertile and barren.
