Himalaya has a great influence on the climate of india. as it forms very low pressure (high temperature) in tebetian china, it causes the blow of winds with heavy moisture towards it from the surface of the oceans where it is experiencing high pressure (low temperature). When it tries to cross the Himalaya it dashes with the great himalayas and cause rainfall in india hence, influencing the climate of india.

Answer:

Climate of the Himalayas

By virtue of its location and stupendous height, the Great Himalaya Range obstructs the passage of cold continental air from the north into India in winter and also forces the southwesterly monsoon (rain-bearing) winds to give up most of their moisture before crossing the range northward.
