Explanation:

Historians divide the past into different periods based on the happenings or events in the past. We usually have the stone age, medieval age, and then the modern period, but when the British invaded India, they divided the past into "Hindu, Muslim, and British". This is incorrect because the British didn't keep in mind the monumental, economical, and agricultural growth and only took the importance of the Hindu, Muslim, and British rule. Yes, historians do face several problems:

1. The hand writing of scribes on manuscripts may be difficult to read and this makes it hard for the historians to interpretate.

2. Manuscripts were copied by hand. When copying, often, scrives would change a small detail in the manuscripts. As time went by, the differences became more and more significant and the manuscripts had changed completely from the original. This is why historians need to read several manuscripts to find out what happened

3. People have different opinions of how things went on in the past. The scribes thought differently, and so, wrote according to their knowledge and thoughts. since all of their opinions were different, it took a while for historians to find out true facts
