How do the movement of leaves in sensitive plant differ from the movement of shoot towards light?

The movements of the leaves of the sensitive plant are touch sensitive and independent of growth. While the movement of the shoot towards light is growth related and known as phototropism.

  • It is a non directional movement ( nastic movement )

The Movement of shoot towards light :-

  • Movement of shoot is towards the stimulus like light.

  • It is a directional movement. ( Tropic movement.)
