Velocity of a body is the distance travelled by it per unit time in a given direction.

Velocity= distance travelled in a given direction/time taken.

Acceleration of a body Is defined as the rate of change of velocity with time.

Acceleration= change in velocity/time taken for change.

Hope it helps
