HOW DO WE KNOW THAT THE CHANNEL RAYS HAVE CHARGES OF THE OPPOSITE SIGN TO THE CATHODIC RAYS? AND WHY ARE THE CATHODIC RAYS OF ALL GAS SAMPLES THE SAME, WHILE THE CHANNEL RAYS ARE NOT?

Answer:

Cathode rays are charged negatively, while Canal Rays are charged positively. Cathode rays emanate from the cathode, while the rays of the canal do not emanate from the anode, but are produced inside the chamber by the collision of gas molecules. In an electric field, cathode rays are drawn to positive electrodes.

Answer:

electrons move from the cathode (negative electrode) to the anode (positive electrode). The tube contains a glass screen (set diagonally to the electron beam) that fluoresces, showing the path of the cathode rays.
