Displacement of an object is shortest Distance between initial and final position. It is independent of path followed.

E.g. If a particle travells 3m north and then 4m east then the displacement of particle is Hypotenuse of right angled triangle formed i.e sqrt(3^2 + 4^2) = 5 m

randomperson1: How many seconds would it take a car travelling at 100.0km/h to travel a distance of 16 m?
