a. by increasing force and keeping area unchanged we can increase pressure

b. by decreasing area and keeping force unchanged we can increase pressure

Pressure is directly proportional to Force and inversely proportional to Area.

So, To increase pressure

(a)By keeping area unchanged,  we have to apply more Force to apply more pressure.

(b)By keeping Force unchanged, we have to decrease the area to increase pressure.
