okay so let present age of ravi is y years and now after 4 years his age will be y+4
and his age 8 years ago was y-8
so now according to question,
(y+4)=3(y-8)
y+4=3y-24
3y-y=4+24
2y=28
y=14
so his present age is 14 and equation was given above
and his age 8 years ago was y-8
so now according to question,
(y+4)=3(y-8)
y+4=3y-24
3y-y=4+24
2y=28
y=14
so his present age is 14 and equation was given above
