This is because the kungfu master strikes the pile of tiles with his
hand, very very fast.So, the large momentum of fast moving hand is
reduced to 0, in a very very fast time. This exerts a very large force
on the pile of tiles, that too on a less area of contact and this force,
which is sufficient to break them apart, is transferred through the
pile ,thus breaking it.
Remember force applied is inversely proportional to time so less the time taken to come into rest more is the force exerted so the tiles break
F = change in momentum /time interval = mu/t therefore More force is applied on a point if the time taken by the body to come into rest is very less
