The saprophytic mode of nutrition is that organisms release digestive enzymes outside on the food to break down into simpler ones.

This enzymes helps to complete digest outside and then the food is intake .

In the organsims there is no need of excreteray system

Eg. Breadmould, fungi, mushroom.etc

Saprophytes such as fungi and mushroom lack chlorophyll and hence cannot prepare their food. They obtain nutrients from dead and decaying matter. The saprophytes secrete digestive juices on dead and decaying matter and convert it into a solution. They then absorb the nutrients from it.
